As you read through this blog, I request you to be a part of an experiment, clench your fist tightly and then read through and while reading make sure that you keep it firmly clenched and do not relax your hold. Now lets get back to the blog.
'Not a leaf flutters without the will and command of its Lord', not a verbatim translation but points to the same message. If this is true then all our plans, our ambitions, our visions and also our codes of morality, value systems, ethics, these are all pre-ordained and nothing in this system can be credited to our own loftiness or rise in stature as human beings but rather an accident. (I hope the fist is clenched tight). If we believe in this system it is purely circumstantial and not because we have in any way risen in our human value to acquire these lofty ideals. Because after all everything is in the knowledge of God and ordained! (mind the fist please)
If this is assumed to be true then should we be living every minute of our lives in the dark shadow of living up to some ambiguous ideal and an epitome of goodness. Is there such a thing as living? or is all a mere existence? Because if we were to assume that nothing in the world happens without the command of the Lord than there cannot be 'a living', since living assumes a conscious selection of choices and a free will. Existence, on the other hand is a resignation to destiny. (Fist).
So the question is if our life in this world is a mere existence then why do we live our lives with the burden of consciousness? And this is where the clenched fist comes in, how can we concentrate on the beauty around us and in us, in life, when we are more focused on putting every action into different categories. Concerning ourselves with whether it is ethical, what value it has, are they living morally, is this the right way? Are we the ones makes the choices in the first place? Every time the fist starts to relax we clench it again!
